– The birth of Christ had been met with indifference and even outright rejection by Israel. And yet, a group of magi from Medo-Persia were not only diligently looking for the coming of Messiah, but they diligently sought Him out to worship Him upon recognizing His coming. In light of this passage about a group of heretical Gentiles giving more attention to the Advent than the hyper-religious Jews, the Christian is challenged to ask themselves whether they simply know of Jesus, or if they actually worship Him as He deserves.
