Scripture: Mark 15:1-15
The Jews bring Pilate Jesus in order that He might be officially condemned so that His trial might look justified in the eyes of history. However, although Pilate is willing to condemn Jesus to death for the sake of his own political expediency, the only official verdict he can issue is that the Son of Man is innocent, and died an unjustified death at the hands of sinners.
